Join us for an opening reception of the exhibition Black|White|Read by Esteban Patiño on Friday, June 2nd from 5 - 8 p.m.
Curated by Shannon Morris in collaboration with Augusta University's Pamplin College, this exhibition presents paintings, sculptures, works on paper and opportunities for visitor's to participate through play inside the gallery.
About the Artist:
Colombian born visual artist Esteban Patiño (b. 1980) lives and works in Atlanta, GA.
Esteban’s work is included in the permanent collection at the High Museum of Art where his interactive sculptures Heaps of Language, 2016 are a feature of the Art Lab, providing visitors with an opportunity for hands-on exploration. His inclusion in the upcoming MIM Gallery | Getty PST LA/LA show Coalescence, an exhibition examining the multitude of cultures that coalesce within Latin American communities, curated by Erika Hirugami, MAAB Founder and CEO at CuratorLove, September 2017, speaks to his rising status as a contemporary artist.
Prior to relocating to the United States, he studied art in his hometown of Medellín at Instituto de Bellas Artes and Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Medellìn.
